CableTronic 4+ enables the reliable detection of underground electrical cables, preventing damage to these cables during excavation work. This not only ensures the safety of people and machinery in civil engineering projects but also protects your construction company from costly liability claims.
CableTronic 4+ is very intuitive to use and requires virtually no prior knowledge. To locate underground cables, the area to be examined is systematically scanned in strips approximately 50 cm apart before excavation work begins.
CableTronic 4+ is positioned a few centimeters above the floor. Cables are indicated by an acoustic signal. The strength of the detected signal is displayed as a bar graph on the screen.
A particularly high risk during excavation work is posed by live electrical cables buried shallowly in the ground. StrikeAlert warns of this danger with a loud, piercing warning tone.

The operating principle

Live conductors generate an electromagnetic field. CableTronic 4+ can detect this electromagnetic field safely and reliably. Locating non-live conductors and cables is also possible with CableTronic 4+. This is achieved by utilizing long-wave radio signals broadcast by numerous transmitters in our modern world. A metallic conductor buried in the ground acts like an antenna, transmitting these signals. An electromagnetic field forms along the conductor, which can be located with CableTronic 4+. While this may sound complicated, CableTronic 4+ is very easy to use.

Four operating modes are available for reliable cable locating:

  • Genny 4+ Mode: Cable location using signals generated by the Genny 4+ signal generator
