Intelligent functions: time-saving

RIMUS 3 boasts numerous intelligent functions, all designed to save time on the construction site and thus enable even more efficient work. Naturally, these innovative and practical functions are easy and intuitive to use.
The key to these functions is the Magic Button on the COMMANDER 3. Depending on whether the RIMUS 3 is operating horizontally or vertically, only the functions relevant to that operating mode are available. This ensures ease of use at all times.

The range of inclination: enormous

The tilt range of ± 15% is outstanding for the tilt laser models PRIMUS 3 H1N, H2N and HVA2N. A tilt of ± 15% is possible simultaneously in each axis of the laser. The laser's mechanics are designed so that the pivot point of the two swivel axes of the construction laser is located at the optical center of the rotating prism. This sounds complicated, but it has the advantage of achieving more precise results in two-axis tilt operation.
Naturally, the PRIMUS 3 H1N, H2N, and HVA2N tilt laser models feature tilt monitoring and automatic releveling in tilt mode.

The rotation speed: maximum

High rotational speeds are particularly important for rotary lasers when they are used to control construction machinery. The PRIMUS 3 utilizes the innovative, wear-free IonicDrive direct drive, which effortlessly achieves rotational speeds of up to 1,200 rpm. Perfect for controlling construction machinery with 2D controllers.

Energy supply: smart

Power is supplied by the Li-ion SmartPower battery, which is characterized by its very high energy density and low weight. The battery can be charged inside the laser and does not need to be removed. A charging port is located on the display side of the PRIMUS 3. The PRIMUS 3 can, of course, be operated while charging.

The tripod mount: quick

In addition to the standard 5/8" mounting thread, all PRIMUS 3 construction lasers are equipped with the further improved Quick-Fix 2 quick-release system. The laser can be attached to or detached from any tripod in seconds. Simply flip the lever to attach or detach. Done.

The work area: controlled

SegmentControl makes it possible to switch off the laser beam in individual segments. This makes it possible to work with multiple rotary lasers on the same construction site. Hidden segments are displayed on the COMMANDER 3's graphical display.

Auto Target function for automatic axis alignment

In dual-axis tilt operation, precise alignment of the tilt axes is crucial for accurate results during fine leveling. Even small deviations in the tilt axis alignment can lead to significant errors. The AutoTarget function of the PRIMUS 3 H2N and HVA2N automatically aligns the laser's Y-axis tilt with the COMMANDER 3. This is achieved by computationally rotating the laser's internal coordinate system. The time-consuming and error-prone manual alignment of the tilt axis in the Y-direction with the target using iron sights or a telescopic sight is eliminated. This innovative function is made possible by the patented sensor technology of the PRIMUS 3.

PlaneLock X/Y

For work in inclination mode that lasts for a longer period and requires particularly precise execution, PlaneLock X or PlaneLock Y leads to better results because environmental influences on the sensitive sensors in the inclination laser are avoided. On the PRIMUS 3 H1N, H2N, or HVA2N, the tilt is set along the desired axis. The COMMANDER 3 is then positioned in the laser plane, and PlaneLock is activated. The COMMANDER 3 then holds the laser plane at the set tilt, while the other axis remains perfectly horizontal.
This function is extremely helpful, especially for creating a fine plan.
