Point-to-Point (P2P) – Distance between two points, even without a direct line of sight
What it is: P2P calculates the direct distance between any two points (e.g., edge-to-edge or across an obstacle) without having to aim at the line itself.
Why relevant: Saves ladders and detours, delivers reproducible results even with hidden edges. How it works:
1) Mount the device on a tripod, set the measurement reference to the “rear,” and activate the timer.
2) Aim at point A and trigger the shutter.
3) Aim at point B and trigger the shutter – the Vector 200 calculates the distance A↔B.
AreaCam – Capture measurements directly in the image
The intelligent AreaCam technology of the Vector 200 laser distance meter allows you to determine dimensions and volumes directly on the screenshot. Note for precision: Align the distance meter at a right angle to the object. Workflow: Take a photo with a crosshair → Set measurement points in the image → Dimensions are saved → Export as PDF/CSV for offers, approvals and quality assurance.
