The operating principle of the Hydro is based on the relationship between the dielectric constant of the material and the moisture content at plus temperatures. With this principle, it is possible to accurately measure the moisture content of wood within 0.1% to 65% at a depth of 2 cm. The compact Hydro moisture meter has documentation of 9 groups (including 23 wood species such as spruce, willow, cedar, poplar, beech, alder, pine, lime, birch, walnut, larch, cherry, elm, teak, oak, pear, ash, yew, rosehip, rosewood, merbau).
