The moisture meter is completely non-destructive as it does not require needles to penetrate the surface. The Aquant from Protimeter quickly finds areas with potentially excessive moisture that require further investigation. It features a digital display with a color-coded color scale. The digital display shows the relative moisture values in the material under investigation on a scale of 0-1000 and the LED scale illustrates the moisture conditions of the material. Values in the green zone represent a safe, air-dry condition, while the yellow zone indicates limit values and requires further investigation. Values in the red zone indicate moisture problems which are analyzed and remedied accordingly. Aquant's ability to look for moisture under floor and wall coverings such as ceramic tiles and vinyl makes it an invaluable tool for building surveys, fire and flood prevention measures, measuring moisture in concrete and wood floors and much more. Water on the surface (moisture) does not affect the measurement.
